Trump Aide’s Bollywood-Style Congratulations to Kash Patel on Becoming New FBI Chief

Kash Patel, a loyalist to US President Donald Trump , has been confirmed as the new director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the country's top federal law enforcement agency.

Patel’s nomination was approved by a 51-49 vote in the Senate.

Trump’s assistant and White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Dan Scavino, congratulated the new FBI chief with a unique Bollywood-style video.

On X Scavino shared a video featuring the popular Bollywood song "Malhari" from Bajirao Mastani, with Patel's face edited onto the character played by Ranveer Singh .

"Congratulations to the new Director of the FBI, Kash Patel," the video caption read.

The video quickly captured the internet's attention, garnering over 2.6 million views. The comment section was filled with a flurry of reactions.

White House Welcomes Kash Patel

The White House welcomed Kash Patel as the new FBI Director, calling his confirmation a crucial step in executing President Trump’s agenda to restore integrity and uphold the rule of law.

After his confirmation by the Senate, Patel took to X to express his gratitude, saying, “I am honored to be confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

“Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence and support.”

"The FBI has a storied legacy from the 'G-Men' to safeguarding our nation in the wake of 9/11. The American people deserve an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice. The politicization of our justice system has eroded public trust but that ends today," he added.

"My mission as Director is clear: Let good cops be cops and rebuild trust in the FBI. Working alongside the dedicated men and women of the Bureau and our partners, we will rebuild an FBI that the American people can be proud of."

"And to those who seek to harm Americans consider this your warning. We will hunt you down in every corner of this planet."

"Mission First. America Always. Let’s get to work.”

Patel was accompanied to the Senate confirmation by his parents, sister, and girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins. He was seen bowing down to touch his parents' feet before the hearing.
