Viral News: In Bihar 's flood-stricken Muzaffarpur district, an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter engaged in relief operations made an emergency landing in a waterlogged area, with a video of the partially submerged chopper now going viral across social media.
However, another video during the situation captured viewers’ attention, wasn’t just the helicopter but a young man reporting live from the scene. The video shows him explaining the situation in detail, with a group of locals who assisted IAF personnel in safely navigating the tricky landing. One of the locals proudly declared, "I’d always risk my life to save our soldiers."
The footage, which has garnered over 19 million views, has impressed many online. Social media users were quick to praise the youth’s on-the-ground reporting. “Even these people know the value of our Army and Air Force and the sacrifices they make for us. Kudos to the locals for saving our heroes,” wrote one user. Another remarked, “This is Indian reporting at its finest.”
“He deserves a Best Journalist Award,” one commenter noted, while another praised it as “Asli (real) reporting.”
The helicopter, which had been delivering essential relief supplies to flood victims, made the emergency landing in the Aurai police station area, causing alarm among local residents. Emergency services, including teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), were alerted but have struggled to reach the site due to the high-water levels hindering their efforts.
