Following the shocking death of its founder, Charlie Kirk, conservative student group Turning Point USA has released a series of emotional posts mourning his loss and honoring his legacy.

Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot and killed during a live event at Utah Valley University on September 10 as part of TPUSA’s “The American Comeback Tour.” The shooter is in custody, and federal authorities have launched an ongoing investigation.

In the days since his death, Turning Point USA has taken to multiple social media platforms to express their heartbreak and celebrate Kirk's life, describing him as a mentor, a man of faith, and "America’s greatest martyr to free speech."

“It is with a heavy heart that we confirm that Charles James Kirk has been murdered by a gunshot that took place during Turning Point USA’s ‘The American Comeback Tour’ campus event... May he be received into the merciful arms of our loving Savior, who suffered and died for Charlie,” Turning Point USA posted on Instagram.

The organization asked followers to pray for Kirk’s family, especially his wife Erika and their two children, and to respect their privacy during this difficult time.

In another post TPUSA wrote, “Every one of us at Turning Point USA is crushed and devastated by the hateful murder of our founder and guiding light… Charlie was the ideal husband and the perfect father... Charlie believed in the power of argument and good-faith debate... Now, Charlie has become America’s greatest martyr to the freedom of speech he so adored.”

“A Life of Faith, A Legacy That Endures”

On X, TPUSA shared a video montage of Kirk’s public appearances and speeches, captioned “A Life of Faith, A Legacy That Endures: Remembering Charlie Kirk.”

The post was flooded with thousands of comments, including messages of condolence and pledges from supporters to continue Kirk’s mission.

Federal investigators have released new video that shows the shooter running across the roof of a school building and subsequently entering the wooded area where officials later discovered the firearm.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox is now making a public plea for assistance, urging anyone with information that could lead to an arrest in the killing of Charlie Kirk to come forward.

“We cannot do our job without the public’s help right now,” Cox said. “The public has answered our call for action.”

The response to this call has been significant. So far, the FBI has received more than 7,000 leads and tips related to the shooting at Utah Valley University, Cox said.

The last time the agency received that many digital media tips from the public was following the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, Cox said during a news conference tonight.
