Yemen: Bombs were launched over Yemen’s capital Sanaa after US President Donald Trump said he ordered series of airstrikes promising ‘overwhelming lethal force’ against Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

In a statement informing about US action against Houthis, Donald Trump said that his brave warfighters were carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defences to protect American shipping, air and naval assets and to restore navigational freedom.

Trump's action aimed at restoring navigational freedom for US logistics, warships

Taking to his own social media platform Truth Social, US President Donald Trump said, “Today, I have ordered the United States military to launch decisive and powerful military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.”

“Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going. It has been over a year since a US flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. The last American warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at US aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the US and world economy many billions of dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk."

US airstrikes against Houthis have come after terrorists threatened that they will target Israeli vessels sailing in Yemen waters as counter response to Israel blocking aid in Gaza.

Israel had previously stopped all the aid coming into Gaza and warned Hamas of more consequences if they didn’t extent the ‘fragile’ ceasefire.

Peace through strength, says Donald Trump

Earlier today, Donald Trump confirmed the killing of a fugitive ISIS leader Abdullah Maki Musleh Al-Rifai aka Abu Khadija in Iraq who was relentlessly hunted down by their intrepid warfighters.

Trump said his miserable life was terminated, along with another member of ISIS, in coordination with the Iraqi Government and the Kurdish Regional Government. Peace Through Strength.
