Elon Musk Ask Voters To Choose Donald Trump As US President: 'He Must Win'

Washington: Elon Musk has once again thrown his support behind Republican candidate Donald Trump, stating that the former U.S. president must win the upcoming election to "preserve freedom and meritocracy" in America.
Musk Supports Trump for President
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter), expressed his views in a post on X, marking a rare instance of his direct involvement in political matters. "I have never been materially active in politics before, but this time I think civilization as we know it is on the line. If we want to preserve freedom and a meritocracy in America, then Trump must win," Musk wrote.
His comments were in response to a post that praised him as "one of the best in the world at synthesizing complex information." This came after Musk was accused by another user of spreading misinformation and joining the "MAGA cult," referencing Trump’s campaign slogan, Make America Great Again.
Musk had previously endorsed Trump following a shooting incident at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, where the former president narrowly escaped injury. "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery. Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt," Musk said , sharing a video of Trump defiantly raising his fist after the assassination attempt.
Since then, Elon Musk has continued to show support for Donald Trump’s re-election campaign. He has hinted at a desire to collaborate with Trump’s potential administration, even suggesting he would work in the cabinet. Musk also hosted an exclusive interview with Trump on X, years after the platform banned the former president for "incitement of violence" following the January 6 Capitol riots.
Musk has also taken shots at Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. Recently, he shared an AI-generated image of Harris, sarcastically claiming she "vows to be a communist dictator on day one." This was in response to Harris criticizing Trump for his alleged promise to be a "dictator" if re-elected.
Interestingly, Musk supported Joe Biden in the 2020 election and worked closely with the Obama administration. He also voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, making his current endorsement of Trump a notable shift in his political stance.
