Instagram will remove the 'Following' Tab feature, netizens unhappy

Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri officially declared that on October 8, Instagram will remove the 'Following' tab from its features. In the series of changes that are expected to be introduced this week in order to keep the social media application more simple, the removal of this tab from the activity feed has been deemed controversial. Initially in August, the Facebook-owned photo-sharing app had reportedly started removing this feature specifically from certain accounts which will now be removed from all users. This feature used to enable the users to see who the people they followed 'liked', commented on, and furthermore who they followed. However, this news made netizens wonder, 'what else will it take'.

Disappointed netizens

Netizens took to twitter and showcased their disappointment with the new addition to all the features which have been recently introduced on Instagram. Most people are wondering what else will the application take away from its one billion active users. The people are seen wondering how else will they keep a track of their crushes' activity on Instagram. Some of them even asked everyone to stalk the people they like one last time before the feature stops showing on the application.

Dark mode on Instagram

Instagram on Tuesday announced the rollout of its most-awaited Dark Mode update. These have become popular in recent months. Recent Instagram updates enable native support for Dark themes across compatible apps. The purpose of Dark themes is to reduce eye strain and at the same time, save a phone's battery life.
