K-pop group Itzy's label JYP Entertainment warns trolls of legal action

Itzy is a popular South Korean girl group that made its debut back in 2019. The band consists of members Yeji, Ryujin, Yuna, Lia, and Chaeryeong. The K-pop band's agency, JYP Entertainment, recently released a statement against those who post malicious comments about the band.

JYP Entertainment to take legal action

Itzy's agency JYP Entertainment posted a statement on their official account and stated that they will not tolerate any malicious comments against the group. Their statement read, "Through an internal and external monitoring system, we have thoroughly secured evidence of all actions that insult and defame the honor and image of our artists such as malicious slander, circulation of false information, sexual harassment, illegal filming, and the creation and circulation of fake content, and are taking all possible legal action together with a specialized law firm."

They further announced that they will take action against all the defamatory activities against the group and the artists. JYP added that there shall be no leniency in the process and even urged fans to send tips or evidence against such violations. They stated that they will do their best to protect their artists and expressed gratitude to the fans.
