Popeyes chicken sandwich is returning to nearly 150 locations

The popeyes chicken sandwich which went viral in the month of August as soon as it was launched is returning to about 150 franchisee-owned stores in November according to global media reports. Sun Holdings Inc. is going to operate those 150 outlets that will offer the highly popular sandwiches in early November, confirmed its CEO, Guillermo Perales. He then stated that their company is hiring over 400 extra employees in order to meet the demands and be able to serve better. They may designate up to two people per restaurant to make the desired menu product.

Increase in staff to meet demands

The parent company of Popeyes, Restaurant Brands stated to foreign media that their franchisees have worked to increase the employees, as they have started working religiously to get back the sandwich to their restaurants as soon as possible since the customers are badly waiting for the return. The company launched the chicken sandwich on August 12 and it soon started trending on social media after a Twitter dispute between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A over who had better sandwiches. The demand for the food item became huge which led to the sandwich going out of stock just after two weeks of its launch.

The hype on social media 

People quickly went to Popeyes outlets to buy the sandwiches and posted their experience on social media. A user wrote that she can confirm that the hype is real and gave full marks to the sandwich. Her tweet was retweeted by Popeyes Chicken too.

Since the time the company announced a relaunch of the sandwich, netizens have started writing about it. One user wrote that this is not a drill and Popeyes chicken sandwich will actually return on November 3. 

Another user wrote that he is still wondering what the Popeyes chicken sandwich tastes like. 

A third user wrote that the company is adding two employees per location and the first week is going to be hell. 

Another user posted a GIF showing the excitement upon learning that Popeyes sandwiches will be back on the menu again from October 31.
