President Trump Addresses Nation Following US Strikes in Iran

In a  address to the nation, US President Donald Trump hailed that American forces had successfully carried out a major operation, striking three critical Iranian nuclear facilities. The targeted sites Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan have been central to Tehran’s nuclear ambitions for years. The strike, executed by B-2 bombers, resulted in the complete destruction of these facilities, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran,” Trump announced on his Truth Social platform. “A full payload of bombs was dropped on Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American warriors. There is no other military like this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”

Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

President Trump confirmed that the United States had successfully completed its mission, stating that all planes involved had safely exited Iranian airspace. "We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan," Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. "A full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home."

The strikes, which involved advanced US B-2 stealth bombers, targeted the underground Fordow facility, which is one of the most secure nuclear sites in Iran. The mission was executed with high precision, utilizing the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), a powerful bomb designed to destroy deeply buried structures.

Trump Praises the US Military

In his address, Trump praised the US military for their flawless execution of the operation. "Congratulations to our great American Warriors," he said, noting that the operation had been carried out with “precision, speed, and skill." He also took a moment to emphasize the power and capability of the US military, stating, "There is not another military in the world that could have done this."

Trump’s Call for Peace

In his speech, Trump stressed that the mission was not only a military success but a call for peace. "Now is the time for peace," Trump declared. However, he warned that if peace was not reached quickly, the US would pursue further military action against Iran’s remaining nuclear facilities. “There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days. Remember, there are many targets left," he said.

Trump’s comments followed weeks of rising tensions between Israel and Iran, after Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear targets. The conflict escalated quickly, with Iran retaliating through missile and drone attacks. The US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities represent a significant shift, as the US has now joined Israel in actively targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
