Sirens were heard in the northern Israeli city of Haifa on Saturday following a rocket attack from Lebanon.

The Israeli military said in a statement that the rocket fell in an open area.

Additionally, three unmanned aerial vehicles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory, the army said.

Two of the UAVs were intercepted, and one UAV hit "a structure in the area of Caesarea", north Of Tel Aviv. No injuries were reported, according to local paramedics.

The military added that "sirens were activated in the Glilot military base" in central Israel during the incident.

Hezbollah began firing rockets into Israel on October 8 in solidarity with the Palestinian militant group Hamas, following their surprise attack on southern Israel.

Almost one year of low-level fighting has turned into all-out war and displaced some 1.2 million people in Lebanon and more than 60-thousand residents in northern Israel.
