In an embarrassing incident, White House officials were left puzzled on Thursday after a doctored American Seal was displayed during President Donald Trump's speech at a youths' event. The fact that the doctored Seal resembled the Russian Coat of Arms did not help the situation.
The White House says it didn't know that an altered presidential seal featuring a two-headed eagle clutching golf-clubs would be displayed at a speech by President Donald Trump. Spokesman Judd Deere says officials "never saw the seal" before it was projected on a screen behind Trump as he was introduced at Turning Point USA's teen summit on Tuesday.
The real Seal has a bald eagle clutching arrows in one set of talons and an olive branch in the other. The doctored one shows a two-headed eagle clutching golf clubs in its talons instead of arrows, an image resembling the bird on the Russian Coat of Arms. In the doctored seal, the eagle is holding golf clubs in its left talons, instead of the traditional seal’s clutch of arrows, and cash in its right talons, instead of an olive branch.
The actual Seal says “E Pluribus Unum,” which means “from many one” in Latin, on the banner above the bird’s head. The doctored one says, “45 es un títere,” which in Spanish means “45 is a puppet.” Trump is the 45th president of the United States. In addition, the shield on the bird’s chest has hammer-and-sickle symbols on it.

A spokesman for Turning Point USA told the media that it fired a video team member for mistakenly displaying the seal. Deere referred additional questions to Turning Point USA. The conservative group did not immediately return an emailed request for comment Thursday.
