PoK will be integrated into India soon under PM Modi: Raghubar Das

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has said Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) will soon be integrated into India under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, on Wednesday, speaking about the controversial area of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) at a gathering in Jharkhand, said that the area would soon be integrated into India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Raghubar Das praised Home Minister Amit Shah

While talking about PoK, the Chief Minister also touched the topic of abrogation of Article 370, which earlier gave special status to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and praised Home Minister Amit Shah for the same.

"Dreams of our freedom fighters Birsa Munda, Sidhu Kanhu have come true with the abrogation of Article 370. I want to thank Union Home Minister, on behalf of people of the state. I am sure PoK will be integrated into India under the leadership of Modi ji," he said while addressing the public.

His statement comes just a day after the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that PoK has always been a part of India and national capital New Delhi expects to have physical jurisdiction over it one day. "Our position has, is and will always be very clear on PoK, that it is part of India and we expect one day we will have physical jurisdiction over it," the EAM had stated during a press meeting.

Decision on Article 370

In a big statement on Article 370, Union Home Minister Amit Shah while speaking in an event at All India Management Association in New Delhi said that the decision to abrogate Article 370 was taken at 5 on the morning of August 5. Applauding the courage of Prime Minister Modi led BJP government, the Home Minister said that all in his party wanted the abrogation of the discriminatory provision but was unsure of the route to be taken for the same. He said that on August 5, PM Modi took the brave decision to end the discriminatory provision when they met before the Parliamentary session in the cabinet meeting. Shah also claimed that no bullet was fired after the special status of Kashmir was taken away and the transition happened normally.
