Pulsus Group bags highest seat allocations under Indian BPO Promotion Scheme

Hyderabad-based Pulsus Group has secured the highest number of seat allocations under the Indian BPO Promotion Scheme (IBPS), an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the Digital India Programme.

Pulsus Group has facilitated the creation of 5,000 job opportunities in Visakhapatnam, with a notable focus on promoting gender diversity as 75 per cent of these positions are filled by women. Additionally, the Central government has granted a viability gap funding of Rs 41 crore in support of this endeavour, the group said in a statement.

Omics International, a subsidiary of Pulsus Group, has made a significant commitment by investing Rs 440 crore to bolster the IBPS scheme.

Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, hailed this achievement as a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of fostering employment opportunities in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Under the IBPS Scheme's ambit, a total of 48,300 BPO/ITeS seats have been established across the country. This scheme, spearheaded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) and overseen by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), has received a budgetary allocation of Rs 543 crore to catalyse sectoral growth.
