SML Isuzu Ltd total sales fell marginally to 946 units

SML Isuzu Ltd announced on Monday that its total sales fell by 1 per cent in December 2023 to 946 units from 959 units in the same period in 2022.

However, the sales volume for the company’s cargo vehicles in December 2023 saw a 9 percent jump to 425 units from 389 units in the same period in 2022.

For the company’s passenger vehicle segment, the sales per unit fell to 521 in December 2023, as against 570 units in December 2022.

During the April-December period in 2023, the company’s cargo vehicle segment saw a 8 per cent fall to 2,886 units, as against 3,132 units in the same period previous year.

On the other hand, the passenger vehicles during the April December period witnessed a 24 per cent rise to 6,713 units from 5,417 units.

SML Isuzu Ltd shares ended trading 2.90 per cent higher at Rs 1,360.50.
