Infosys and AWS forge strategic alliance for financial cloud transformation in EMEA

In a significant move towards accelerating cloud transformation in the financial sector across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services, has entered into a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services Inc (AWS). The three-year collaboration aims to provide technology transformation and industry-specific solutions, backed by joint investments in go-to-market and delivery capabilities in the EMEA region.
The collaboration between Infosys and AWS is set to support financial organisations in their cloud adoption journeys, with a focus on delivering specialised end-to-end cloud migration and modernisation services. Notably, retail banking at NatWest Group is among the financial institutions set to benefit from this collaboration.

Transformative Cloud Services: Financial organisations will receive transformative cloud services from AWS, coupled with domain knowledge and delivery expertise from Infosys. Additionally, Infosys Capital Markets’ specialised insights will play a crucial role in transforming business models and modernising applications, enhancing operational efficiency.
Infosys Cobalt Integration: Leveraging Infosys Cobalt, a comprehensive set of services, solutions, and platforms for accelerating the cloud journey, the collaboration will deliver industry-specific use cases. This will include leveraging AWS's cloud-native innovation, such as generative AI and data analytics. Customers can expect production-ready shared toolsets, certified architectural, and security blueprints to expedite adoption while ensuring compliance.
Business Agility and Skills Sharing: The collaboration aims to ensure greater business agility in response to evolving market conditions and regulatory changes. The flow of skills sharing between AWS and Infosys will support customers throughout their journey, with a focus on outcome-based delivery to align technically and reduce business risk.
Go-to-Market Strategies: To catalyse growth across EMEA, Infosys and AWS will jointly create go-to-market strategies and make co-investments over the next three years. Areas of collaboration include accelerating growth in existing large-scale transformations, collaborating with FinTech partners to introduce new cloud-based solutions, and investing in co-innovation for delivering new products and services.

Dennis Gada, Executive Vice President, Global Head of Banking & Financial Services, Infosys, emphasised the comprehensive offering brought by combining Infosys' expertise and AWS's cloud innovation.
