The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is all set to launch its housing scheme, the DDA Housing Scheme 2023, just in time for Diwali. The scheme is expected to be introduced in the first week of November and offers prospective homebuyers an opportunity to acquire flats in various prime locations within Delhi-NCR, including Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida, according to media reports.

This scheme is set to offer around 32,000 flats, available on a 'First Come First Serve' basis. Currently, 24,000 flats are ready for occupation, with construction work on the remaining 8,500 flats anticipated to be completed within the next six months.

The flats cater to diverse income groups, including the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), Middle-Income Group (MIG), High-Income Group (HIG), and Super High-Income Group (SHIG). Additionally, luxury flats and penthouses will be featured as part of this housing scheme.

Prime locations and prices

Prospective homeowners will find these flats in key areas such as Narela, Dwarka, Sector 19B, Dwarka Sector-14, Vasant Kunj, and Loknayak Puram during the planned phase.

Pricing varies depending on the flat category. EWS flats may be available for Rs 11 to 14 lakh, while LIG flats are expected to be priced between Rs 14 to Rs 30 lakh. MIG flats may start from Rs 1 crore, HIG flats at around Rs 2.50 crore, and Super HIG flats will begin from approximately Rs 3 crore.

Variety of flats

As per the DDA notification, over 700 flats are categorised as EWS, with 900 in the MIG category in Dwarka Sector 19B. In the SHIG category, 170 flats are available, and 14 penthouses are ready for occupancy.

Narela boasts more than 5,000 EWS flats, 1,900 MIG flats, and 1,600 HIG flats. In Loknayak Puram, there are 200 EWS flats and approximately 600 MIG flats.

Application process

Individuals interested in applying for these flats should visit the official DDA website at dda.gov.in/eservices.dda.org.in. Here, they can create login credentials using their PAN and other details and proceed to register. More information can be obtained by contacting the DDA call center at 1800-110-332. Further details about the scheme will be available on the DDA official website when the scheme is officially launched.

This housing project follows DDA's earlier Phase IV housing program, which included the online registration of over 5,500 flats. This program targeted the EWS and LIG segments and required income certificates for families with an annual income below Rs 10 lakh.
