Ed Tech company Techmaghi has secured a startup seed fund of Rs 20 lakh from the LJ Knowledge Foundation, a startup-supporting organisation. This funding will enable Techmaghi, based in Kerala, to continue its plan of bridging the gap between industries and educational institutions by offering up-skilling courses tailored to the needs of the modern workforce.
Founded in 2021, Techmaghi has formed a partnership with the Ahmedabad-based LJKF, which will facilitate the company's expansion efforts to reach a broader audience of students and professionals. The founder and CEO of Techmaghi, Deepak Rajan, expressed that this financial support will contribute to advancing cutting-edge education and skill development.
The funding from the Gujarat NGO is in the form of a CCD (compulsorily convertible debenture) for Techmaghi. The company is located at the Maker Village in KINFRA Hightech Park, Kalamassery, situated approximately 20 km north of the city.
Techmaghi have trained over 75,000 students and generated revenue exceeding Rs 2 crore. The company primarily focuses on core engineering fields, empowering individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the competitive job market. Techmaghi attributes a portion of its growth to the support of KSUM, the Kerala government's nodal agency established in 2006 to boost entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
