New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) CEO and MD Krithi Krithivasan got a 6.3% salary hike, earning a total of Rs 28.11 core in financial year 2026. The hike came even as the IT company laid off more than 23,000 employees in the year.

K Krithivasan salary package was ₹26.52 crore in the previous financial year, according to the company's annual report. His salary hike in FY 2026 marks his third consecutive annual pay hike. Krithivasan took charge as CEO in 2023, and his compensation has risen steadily from ₹25.36 crore in FY24 to ₹26.52 crore in FY25 and now ₹28.1 crore in FY26.

Breakdown Of TCS CEO's Package

Here is the breakdown of the package of TCS CEO and MD K Krithivasan:

  • Base Salary- ₹1.67 crore
  • Benefits, Perquisites and Allowances- ₹1.43 crore
  • Commission- ₹25 crore

CEO's Package 333 Times Median Salary Of Employees

According to TCS' annual report, the package of K Krithivasan was 332.8 times the median salary of TCS employees in FY26.

Krithivasan has been with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for 27 years, having joined the firm in 1989. During his long tenure, he has held various leadership roles in delivery, customer relationship management, large program management and sales. 

Krithivasan's total pay of ₹28.1 crore remains below the ₹29.16 crore earned by his predecessor Rajesh Gopinathan in FY23, his final full year as CEO.

The  company stated that the increase in remuneration is in line with the market trends in the respective countries. The  financial report read, “The average annual increase for junior and mid-level employees was in the range of 4.5 - 7.0%, with top performers receiving double digit increment in India. However, during the course of the year, the total increase is in the range of 5.0 - 8.0%, after accounting for promotions and other event based compensation revisions. Junior and mid-level employees outside India received a wage increase varying from 1.5 - 6.0%.”

Notably, TCS chairman N Chandrasekaran drew only sitting fees from the company in FY26 and received no commission.

Meanwhile, TCS COO and ED President Aarthi Subramanian earned a total of ₹18.3 crore in FY26. Here is the breakdown of her package:

  • Base Salary- ₹1.5 crore
  • Benefits, Perquisites and Allowances- ₹1.83 crore
  • Commission- ₹15 crore
