India’s Largest Forces First Conclave Concludes with Vote of Thanks by Senior Editors of Republic Media Network to all the panelists and participants.

Major General Bhadauria, VSM (Retd), ADG, CLAWS, during his concluding remarks at the Forces First Conclave, thanked and acknowledged all the panelists for their valuable insights and the diverse topics and stories they shared throughout the program, highlighting the depth and richness of the discussions.

Lt Gen Sumer Ivan D’cunha, SM, DG & Colonel Commandant, Army Air Defence, speaking at the Forces First Conclave, said:
“I hope Pakistan doesn’t want Operation Sindoor 2, as they have understood their lesson and we called their bluff. Between drones and hypersonics, you need to have a spectrum of air defence.”

Lt Gen Dushyant Singh, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), DG CLAWS, speaking at the Forces First Conclave, said:
“How do we protect our population centre? Our faith should be our priority; even our PM Modi spoke about it, it is like ‘Sudarshan Chakra.’ The way we all rallied as a country, beyond religion, it was cross-religion, cross-people.' 

Lt Gen Sumer Ivan D’cunha, SM, DG & Colonel Commandant, Army Air Defence, speaking at the Forces First Conclave, said:
“Pakistan was clearly picking up issues wherever there were information blanks. What we did not do was ask, ‘How many you lost?’ We should have done a counter narrative rather than a defensive narrative.”

Lt Gen Sumer Ivan D’cunha, SM, DG & Col Commandant, Army Air Defence, speaking at the Forces First Conclave, said:
“India-Pak conflict is ongoing, sometimes it is kinetic and sometimes it’s not. In case of India, we are already in the tactical battle area. This is the age of Krishna — he is a cynic who preaches high morality and then stoops down to the lowest trick. This is the era we are fighting.”

Air Marshal Diptendu Choudhury, PVSM, AVSM, VM, VSM (Retd), speaking at the Forces First Conclave, said, “Navy in Indian Ocean is a strategic. We need more giant strategy. Military has taken a long time to evolve. China is adapting their theater structure. Militaries take a longer time to evolve; we are in process of evolution.”

Air Marshal Diptendu Choudhury, PVSM, AVSM, VM, VSM (Retd), speaking at the Forces First Conclave, said:
“Look at India's side, there is no way you will get enough of air defence. Air defence prevented us from getting clobbered, kept us safe. Drones and missiles have been part of war since ages; they have lent the ability to carry out operations. What air power did is not what air power can do, it was just a showcase.”

Air Marshal Diptendu Choudhury, PVSM, AVSM, VM, VSM (Retd), speaking at the Forces First Conclave, said, “We have two strong air forces against the US, both are integrated into military strategy and national security of the nation. Indian Air Force has two roles: one, defence of sovereign airspace; two, energy system, fuel tank, third is communication system, fifth is conventional war fighting. Indian Air Force has come a long way.”
 

Air Marshal Diptendu Choudhury, PVSM, AVSM, VM, VSM (Retd), on Air Space Control at Forces First Conclave:
“Domains over domains will not be possible. In today's case, if the adversary has control of the air, it will come in the way of all surface operations. The context is very different from India. All the lessons from the past 20 years of air power use show that the Ukrainian Air Force lasted for only a short time.”

Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai (SYSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM), DCOAS (Strat), on Forces First Conclave:
“Operation Sindoor will be remembered not only for its tactical brilliance but for redesigning India’s strategic orientation. It affirmed that national resolve, backed by institutional integration and indigenous innovation, can assure success in very complex operational situations. The next step lies in translating these lessons into enduring structures. Operation Sindoor is also symbolic on multiple levels.”

Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai (SYSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM), DCOAS (Strat), speaking on major lessons from Operation Sindoor at the Forces First Conclave, said: 

“India broke no interference setting, the expectation that cross border aggression would be met with autonomous forcing our adversaries to recalibrate their assumptions. The structures are already in place, you want to modify them because you learned certain lessons. The aim to target and neutralize terror infrastructure, avoid escalation and yet be prepared for third, fourth or fifth order. Operation designed emphasize surprise, momentum and proportionality. We have to test these; if tomorrow we have another addition of Op Sindoor, there are many measures we are taking. Misinformation, false information, we successfully counter all the information. The perception management must be preplanned.”

“It is the fact that we came out of the victors at the end of the conflict, this turned out to be disruption in the matter that we foresaw it. We had the political clarity by launching cross Line of Control, border strikes. The calibrated force can indeed coexist with nuclear stability,” said Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai (SYSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM), DCOAS (Strat) during his address at the Forces First Conclave.

“There is no shame in admitting that failures may happen, but one has to learn from that failure and ensure that does not happen again. Unfortunately, the cost of the failure of intelligence is quite high,” said Brig Sushil Tanwar (VSM) while speaking at the Forces First Conclave.

At the Forces First Conclave, Vice Admiral AN Pramod, said, "Moving forward, Indian Navy remains steadfast in its commitment to the tri-services synergy guided by the honourable Prime Minister's vision of JAI (Jointness, Aatmanirbharta and Innovation). These pillars not only shape our operational philosophy but also drive our transformation into a modern, self-reliant and technology-enabled maritime force."

At the Forces First Conclave, Vice Admiral AN Pramod, said, "Beyond traditional threats, non-traditional threats like terrorism, piracy, robbery, illegal unreported fishing, human arms, drug trafficking have necessitated the Indian Navy to adapt and create fresh paradigms for maritime security."

At the 'Forces First Conclave', Vice Admiral AN Pramod, AVSM, YSM, Director General, Naval Operations, said, "Operation Sindoor reaffirmed the readiness and capability of the Indian Navy as combat-ready, credible, cohesive and future ready force. As the operation unfolded, the Vikrant carrier battle group...took the center stage. Most deployed assets were indigenous, performed exceptionally well..."

At the 'Forces First Conclave', Lt General Devendra Sharma said, "The character of war is changing. Non-state actors can also influence global politics and destabilise regional balances overnight."

At the conclave, Lt General Devendra Sharma said, "While President Trump wishes to assert his influence in China, he finds his strategic choices hemmed in by trade, supply of rare earth elements, the huge manufacturing capabilities of China and most significantly, the 730 billion dollar worth of US treasury bonds held by China. In the backdrop of the evolving relationship between US and China, other global relations are also evolving. Russia and China have made common cause against the US."

At the ‘Forces First Conclave’, Lt General Devendra Sharma said, "The dominant theme in the world order today is the strategic competition between US and China...China has slowly but surely supplanted the United States, industrial and manufacturing pre-dominance in both scale and pace. However, the US position on China remains unclear."
 

Lt General Devendra Sharma, who graced Republic's ‘Forces First Conclave’ said that India's role in the new global order is relevant amid a time of multipolarity, contestation and fragmentation.

At the Forces First Conclave, Lt General Devendra Sharma said, "We live in a time of multipolarity, contestation and fragmentation which is characterised by economic and technological reconfigurations. The established post world war certainties are giving way to a more multipolar and complex world defined by new power dynamics, technological acceleration and profound global challenges. The matrix of power, victory and truth are being upended. This makes the question of India's role in the new global order especially relevant."
