NEET-PG 2024 Postponement Notice: A notice is circulating on social media, claiming that the NEET-PG 2024 examination has been rescheduled to September 22. The viral notice, which appears to be from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), also claims that the admit cards will be released on September 18 and the results on October 13. However, these claims are false and have not been confirmed by any official sources.

NEET-PG 2024 Date

The official schedule for NEET-PG 2024, as released by NBEMS, remains unchanged. The examination is set to be held on August 11, 2024, and the admit cards have been released today, August 8. The viral notice has not been published on any official NBEMS or Ministry of Health websites, further indicating its lack of authenticity. Additionally, the QR code on the fake notice does not redirect users to the NBEMS website, a key indicator of its falsity.

The spread of such fake notices has raised concerns among candidates. One user on X (formerly Twitter) posted the fake document with the caption, "Another fake document is circulating... but this time the document looks too good. How can they create a fake document to this level of perfection? #neetpg Or is it a real circular meant for last-minute pp? NBEMS, what the hell are you doing?"

NEET-PG Postponed Notice Viral; NBEMS Cautions Candidates

In response to the rise of such incidents, NBEMS released guidelines on July 3, 2024, to help candidates distinguish between genuine and fake notices. Since July 2020, all official NBEMS notices include a QR code, which users can scan to verify the notice on the official website.

SC To Hear NEET-PG Postponement Plea on August 9

Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking the postponement of NEET-PG 2024. The petition, citing the allocation of inconvenient test cities for candidates, will be heard on Friday, August 9. A bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud, and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, took note of the matter on Thursday. The petition argues that the short notice for city allocation has made it challenging for candidates to arrange travel, given the specific exam centers were only announced on August 8.

As of now, candidates are advised to disregard the fake notice and adhere to the official schedule provided by NBEMS. The examination is still slated for August 11, and the hall tickets are available for download from the NBEMS official website.
