Voting for the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections is underway in 122 constituencies. The phase 2 elections are being held across 20 districts. The Janta Dal (United), the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, Jan Suraaj Party and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) are the key parties in the fray. Key candidates in the fray are BJP’s Renu Devi, Congress' Rajesh Ram (Kutumba) and JD(U)'s Leshi Singh.

Bihar Election 2025 Live Updates: Khusbu Devi, a resident of Pranpatti in Purnia, said that her name was deleted from the voters’ list during the SIR exercise. She added, “I couldn’t vote this time. My name wasn’t on the list. I don’t know what happened. No one came to our house, what could I do?”

Another resident of the village, Amol Kumar Mehta, said, “At my booth, names of several genuine voters have also been deleted. People are worried. They all live here. Only senior officials know why these names were removed.”

Bihar Election Live Updates: Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday lauded the increase in voter turnout in the Bihar Assembly elections and expressed confidence in the victory of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Speaking to ANI, Meghwal said that 'vikas' (development) and 'sushasan' (good governance) have been two major election issues in Bihar, based on which the NDA will win the contest. 

"This is a festival of democracy. Voting percentage increased in the first phase, and there is an enthusiasm (among voters) in the second phase as well. 'Vikas' (development) and 'sushasan' (good governance) were two issues in the elections, and I am confident that the people of Bihar will bring back the NDA government," the Union Minister said.
