After Rajinikanth, Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar gets bonus cheque, ₹1.4 Crore Porsche

Rajinikanth and director Nelson Dilipkumar are basking in the success of their recently released film Jailer. It has broken several records at the box office on its way to the ₹600 crore plus collection at the worldwide box office. Sun Pictures owner Kalanithi Maran has been celebrating the success of the film and has lavished the Superstar and Rajinikanth with gifts and bonus cheques, above their paycheques.

Kalanithi Maran happy with Nelson Dilipkumar

After gifting a brand new BMW and reportedly a cheque of ₹100 crore to Rajinikanth, Jailer producer Kalanithi Maran gave a bonus cheque to director Nelson Dilipkumar. The official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle of Sun Pictures shared a picture of the producer and Nelson posing in front of a luxury car, which the latter was gifted. Nelson received a brand new Porsche, which costs ₹1.44 crore.

Jailer becomes a roaring success at box office

After the film entered its 4th week, it is holding its position at the box office. Domestically, Jailer has collected ₹328.20 crore so far, while the worldwide business stands at ₹625 crore.

In Tamil Nadu, the Rajinikanth starrer earned ₹181.45 crore, beating the lifetime collection of Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram. It has become the second-highest-grossing film in the state, only behind Mani Ratnam's multi-starrer Ponnyin Selvan: I.
