Golden Globes 2024: Beef stars Steven Yeun, Ali Wong take home Best Actor, Best Actress award

Golden Globes 2024 is currently underway in Beverly Hills, California. The awards are held to commemorate excellence in film, television and web series. Early winners of the events have been announced and Netflix original Beef has bagged top honours. 

Ali Wong wins Best Female Actor in Limited Series for Beef

American actress-comedian Ali Wong was feted with the Best Female Actor -- Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture honour at the currently underway 81st Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hills, California.

The actress won the award for her work in the comedy-drama television limited series Beef created by Korean director Lee Sung Jin. The official X account, congratulated the actress as they wrote, “And the winner of Best Female Actor -- Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture is... Ali Wong for Beef! Congratulations! #GoldenGlobes.”

Steven Yeun wins Best Male Actor in Limited Series for Beef

After American actress-comedian Ali Wong won the Best Female Actor -- Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture award, her co-actor from Beef, Steven Yeun won his first Golden Globe for Best Male Actor in Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture for the Beef.

Beef, created by Korean director Lee Sung Jin, follows two strangers whose involvement in a road rage incident escalates into a prolonged feud. In the series, Steven Yeun played the role of Danny Cho, a struggling contractor of Korean background who is involved in a road rage incident. The 81st Golden Globe Awards are currently underway at the Beverly Hills, California. The Indian audience can stream the award show on Lionsgate Play.
