After Gadar 2 success, Sunny Deol to reunite with Betaab director for new film?

After the success of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, his Betaab director Rahul Rawail wants to reunite with the veteran actor. Sunny and Rahul are known for giving several hits to Bollywood, such as Arjun (1985), Arjun Pandit, and Dacait (1987) among others. Now, at a press conference, the director hinted at reuniting with the actor and revealed that his next film is titled Sunny Don.

Rahul Rawail pitched a film idea to Sunny Deol after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha

At the press conference, the director celebrated the success of Gadar 2 and revealed that he really liked the emotional connection between father-son duo. Utkarsh Sharma played the role of Tara's son Jeete in the film. During the conference, he recalled pitching a film idea to Sunny Deol after watching Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. However, it didn't happen then. Now, after seeing the success of the sequel, the director once again got in touch with the actor and insisted that now is the right time to make that film.

"I pitched an idea to him but then we didn’t take it further and now after seeing Gadar 2, I called Sunny again and said now is the right time to make that film,” said the director.

The film to document Sunny Deol's 'successful avatars'

Elaborating on the idea that he pitched to Sunny Deol, the filmmaker said the film would include all the successful characters from his previous films. He also revealed the tentative title, Sunny Don.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol is busy basking in the success of his recently released film Gadar 2, co-starring Ameesha Patel. In just three days, the film has crossed the Rs 130 crore mark.
