Ajay Devgn is busy preparing for his next film, Golmaal 5, with his OG gang, including Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade. On Thursday, rumours were rife that the makers had locked in the release date and that it would clash with Prabhas' Fauzi. However, the news is false, and the makers have issued a statement.

Golmaal 5 release date

A spokesperson for Rohit Shetty Picturez clarified that the news is false and that the makers have yet to decide on the release date. "We have come across speculation regarding the release date of our upcoming film, Golmaal 5. We would like to clarify that these reports are completely false and baseless," the spokesperson said.

The statement further added that the makers are currently focusing on completing the film. They will announce release-related updates only through official channels and at the appropriate time. "Our entire team is currently focused on making an entertaining film for audiences, and we look forward to sharing official updates at the appropriate time. Any information regarding the film, including its release date, will be communicated only through our official announcements," the statement read further.

The statement urged the media outlets to avoid publishing unverified information as it misleads the audience.

Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the upcoming movie will delve deep into the fantasy elements, offering fresh prank-driven content. Apart from the OG cast, the makers have roped in Akshay Kumar in an antagonist role. The Golmaal films have been entertaining audiences for nearly two decades, beginning with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006. The success of Golmaal prompted Rohit to expand the franchise with the second, third and fourth parts. The makers are eyeing a release in early 2027 if everything goes as planned.
