Dangal Director Nitesh Tiwari Reacts To Suhani Bhatnagar's Death: Absolutely Shocking
Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari condoled the death of Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the young Babita Kumari Phogat.
Suhani Bhatnagar, who starred in the blockbuster hit film Dangal, died on Friday (February 16) in Delhi. The 19-year-old, who was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on February 7, reportedly died of Dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease. After Aamir Khan, director Nitesh Tiwari condoled the death of Bhatnagar.

In an official statement to IANS, the Dangal director said that the news was "heartbreaking", adding that "she was such a happy soul". Expressing shock over the loss of the young actress, who appeared in ad commercials before choosing to focus on studies, Tiwari said: "Suhani's passing away is absolutely shocking and heartbreaking. She was such a happy soul, so full of life. My deepest condolences to her family."
Suhani's final rites will take place in Faridabad's Ajronda crematorium.

famously known for playing the role of a young Babita Phogat in Dangal. Confirming the news of her demise, the movie’s production house Aamir Khan Productions shared their condolences on social media. "We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace," read the statement.
The biographical sports drama Dangal narrates the story of Geeta and Babita Phogat, who became India's first women wrestlers to appear in international competitions and win medals. It featured Aamir Khan as their father, Mahavir Singh Phogat, Sanya Malhotra as Babita, Fatima Sana Shaikh as Geeta Phogat and Zaira Wasim as the young Geeta.
