Chhaava Box Office Collection Week 2: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Registers Just 18% Drop In Biz From Week 1

Chhaava will cross the ₹400 crore mark at the domestic box office soon. Worldwide, the Vicky Kaushal starrer has minted ₹500 crore plus.

Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 14: Vicky Kaushal starrer historical drama has closed in on the ₹400 crore mark at the domestic box office after its 2-week run. The movie, which started out performing well in Maharashtra , picked up pace in other regions of India and scripted history at the box office on many counts. It will look to gain more at the ticket window over the third weekend as there are no new releases lined up.

Vicky's Chhaava rock steady at box office

Vicky's Chhaava collected ₹219 crore in its first week and ₹179 crore in its second week. The film performed very well in its second weekend, with collections on some specific days hitting the ₹40 crore mark and even doing more. On Mahashivratri also, the film performed well and minted ₹23 crore.

The total collection of the film in India stands at ₹398 crore in 14 days. Worldwide, it has entered the ₹500 crore club.

Vicky on director Laxman Utekar's faith in him

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna, Chhaava marks Vicky Kaushal's second collaboration with director Laxman Utekar after 2023's family drama movie Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Vicky said he was initially "scared" about portraying such a legendary character but Utekar had complete faith in him.

"There are certain characters that, when you get the opportunity to play them, you feel scared, wondering if you'll be able to do justice to them. That fear comes from knowing how deeply sentiments and faith are attached to such roles," he said. "More than living that life, understanding the culture, history and values was the biggest earning from the film and that's something I will never forget," he added.
