Dia Mirza hides stepdaughter’s face from paparazzi, says ‘don’t scare her’

Dia Mirza stepped out for dinner with her stepdaughter Samaira Rekhi. The interaction of the actress with the paparazzi caught the attention of social media users. Samaira is the actress’ stepdaughter from her husband’s first wedding.

Dia Mirza's request to paparazzi 

On August 3, Dia Mirza enjoyed an outing with her stepdaughter Samaira Rekhi. Upon their exit from the restaurant, the paparazzi surrounded the actress in order to get pictures and videos. Her 14-year-old daughter was visibly uncomfortable with the cameras around. 

Seeing her daughter’s discomfort, Dia Mirza requested the media personnel to step back. She could also be heard asking them not to scare Samaira with the cameras as she is just a child. A video of the same is doing rounds on social media. 

Meet Dia Mirza’s family 

Dia Mirza tied the knot for the second time with businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in 2021. The actress was previously married to Sahil Sangha for five years.

The actress welcomed her first child with Vaibhav in April 2021. Samaira Rekhi is Vaibhav’s daughter from his first marriage. 

Dia Mirza opens up about 'meatier' roles 

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Dia Mirza shed light on how she got the best roles of her career, much later in life. She opined that when she was younger, she was told that “her clock is ticking”. Dia asserted that women are told they have a shorter life in the industry. She expressed her excitement about being able to do "meatier roles" after 40. 

Dia made her debut in the Hindi film industry in 2001 with Rehnna Hai Terre Dil Mein. She was last seen in the recent film Bheed alongside Rajkummar Rao. The actress will be seen in Made in Heaven season 2 which will premiere on OTT on August 10.
