Motichoor Chaknachoor director Debamitra Biswal says "Outcome is a total chaknachoor"

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty featured in a romantic-comedy recently titled Motichoor Chaknachoor. The film released on November 15, 2019, alongside a big commercial film titled Marjaavaan which features Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. Opening alongside a commercial film and failing to gain a positive word of mouth from the critics resulted in the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer film to crash at the box-office. The film brought in less than a crore on its opening day, and now the director of Motichoor Chaknachoor has spoken up about the film's ultimate fate.

As per reports, Debamitra Biswal and the producers of the film were in a heated creative argument. The director has accused the producers of stitching the film's visuals inappropriately to complete it. She stated that the final cut of the film does not match her direction as scenes are chopped out. She wrote an open letter on Facebook explaining her grievances with the producers, also alarming people of watching the film on their own risk as she is not responsible for the final cut.

The producers of Motichoor Chaknachoor have also reportedly accused Debamitra Biswal of fraud. But, Debamitra has been very vocal about her experience on the film. She blamed the makers of the film of wrecking the film and her career. She wants her name to not be attached with the film and has reportedly asked the producers to remove her director's credit. She stated that her experience while working on the film was as sweet as Motichoor but the outcome turned out to be chaknachoor.
