The revelation comes from the film's director, Homi Adajania, who shared the delightful anecdote of how Ranveer, being a close friend, willingly stepped into the project purely for the joy of it. The movie, released in 2014, featured Ranveer Singh in a concise 5-minute role as Gabo, Deepika Padukone's on-screen husband.

Homi Adajania's revelation about Ranveer Singh

According to Homi, Ranveer's involvement was not driven by contractual obligations or financial negotiations but rather by friendship and a shared sense of fun. As Homi recounted, they were casually discussing the storyline of Finding Fanny, and Ranveer spontaneously expressed his interest in playing the character of Gabo. Homi, appreciating the spontaneity and camaraderie, agreed and informed Ranveer that he would need him in Goa for half a day of shooting.

What was initially planned as a short stint turned into an extended stay, highlighting the infectious camaraderie on set. Ranveer, having completed his part, chose to stay in Goa for over a week, enjoying the filming process and the bond forged during the production of Finding Fanny.
