Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza reunite, fans request for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na sequel | Viral photo

Imran Khan has been in the news ever since he cryptically announced his comeback in films. The actor, who made his debut with Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na (2008), recently reunited with his co-star Genelia D'Souza. Now, a picture from their meeting is going viral on the internet which has left fans wondering if they are reuniting for another film.

When Ratz met Meow

In the viral photo, Imran and Genelia, who essayed the role of Ratz and Meow in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na respectively, are seen happily posing with Leena Aranha. The latter is associated with Aamir Khan's production house - Aamir Khan Productions. Sharing the photo on her Instagram handle, Aranha wrote in the caption, "Always lovely to meet these two!" to which Imran replied with a laughing emoticon.

Soon after she shared the photo, it went viral on Reddit and netizens started speculating if a new film was on the cards. A user wrote, "Why do I think they would be the perfect choice for Indian Jake Peralta and Amy from Brooklyn99.” Another fan wrote, "I would actually scream louder than I ever have if they work together again.” Another user commented, "If they make a JTYJN but where Jay and Aditi are parents, I would LOVE IT.”

Imran Khan on his comeback

A few days ago, the 40-year-old actor attended an event in Mumbai and finally addressed his plans to make an acting comeback. The Delhi Belly actor said that he can't give a clear answer but he is reading scripts and having conversations with filmmakers. He added that by next year he might feature in a film. 

"I don’t have a clear answer, but I am reading scripts and having creative conversations with filmmakers. So hopefully, next year,” the actor said.

Imran and Genelia share a great bond and often bump into each other as their kids study in the same school. Imran has a 9-year-old daughter Imara, while Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh are parents to two sons Riaan and Rahyl.
