Mahima Makwana is clueless why she 'didn’t get any work' despite debut in Antim

TV actress Mahima Makwana, who has been active and popular face on television for almost a decade, recently opened up about not getting enough opportunities in Bollywood despite making a big debut around 2 years ago.

In an exclusive interview with Instant Bollywood, the actress talked about her early days in the film industry as she made her debut opposite Aayush Sharma in the 2021 actioner Antim. She added, “People tell me that I did really well in the film, and praise me for my performance. But still, I don’t know why I didn’t get any work.”  She further said how Antim was perceived well, got great response.. but unfortunately, her character seemed to have gone unnoticed.

Reflecting upon the drastic changes from her working experience in television and films, Makwana recollected, “Back when I was working in TV shows, it was all about doing your job, doing what were told to you, going home, getting some rest and calling it a day.” However, when the Antim actress came in the film industry, she self-admittedly found herself overwhelmed with all the peripherals that came with being a film actor. Makwana added, “Right now, you have to be visible, you have to wear the right brand, and sometimes you don’t even get the right set of brands to work with.”

Mahima Makwana rose to fame quite early in life, thanks to her stint as a protagonistt in the TV show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke in the year 2013 when she was 14 years old. The young actress went on to work in popular shows like Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, Mariam Khan - Reporting Live and Shubharambh. 

Mahima Makwana was last seen in the OTT movie Tumse Na Ho Payega, produced by eminent filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, where she was paired opposite Rocket Boys actor Ishwak Singh.
