Arshad Warsi and Meher Vij starrer Bandaa Singh Chaudhary revealed in theatres on October 25. The movie is set around Punjab in 1984 where a man fights with militants for survival. The movie which is made on a reported budget of ₹20 crore is struggling at the box office. It opened at ₹17 lakh, followed by a major drop in the collection on the second day. The performance of the movie has given Prabhas fans an opportunity to troll Arshad Warsi.

According to Sacnilk, the movie minted ₹4 lakh on Monday, taking the total to ₹89 lakh. Bandaa Singh Chaudhary had an overall 8.11 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday with a maximum reported in Jaipur (26.50 per cent). The action drama is directed by Abhishek Saxena and produced by Arbaaz Khan. Apart from Arshad and Meher, the movie also stars Sachin Negi, Alisha Chopra and Shilpi Marwaha.

Soon after the day 1 box office collection was out, Prabhas fans took to their X handles and mocked Arshad. They are trolling the veteran actor, claiming that his action drama's box office performance was less than the cycle stands collections of Prabhas' movies. A user shared a still from the movie Joker and wrote, "#ArshadWarsi's #BandaaSinghChaudhary collects 17 Lacs on Day 1 and 18 Lacs on Day 2. Meanwhile, #Prabhas fans."

Another shared a still of Prabhas from the Kalki 2898 AD and simply wrote, "Thank you Arshad Warsi".

Talking about Kalki 2898 AD in an interview, Arshad first praised the legendary Amitabh Bachchan , who stars in the film but called Prabhas' characterisation in it "joker-like". This upset many of the Baahubali star's fans. Arshad said, “Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab hein. Amit ji was (mind-blown sounds) unbelievable. I can't understand that man. I swear if we got the power he has, life ban jaae. He's unreal." He further added, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata." The comment left people divided both online and within industries.
