RARKPK actor Tota Roy Choudhury got his big break with this Aishwarya Rai film

Tota Roy Choudhury was recently seen in the film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The actor played the role of Rani's (Alia Bhatt) father in the film. His performance as Chandon Chatterjee was highly acclaimed.

Tota Roy Choudhary's rise to fame

Though Tota Toy Choudhary has gained critical acclaim for his performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, he is not a stranger to the big screen and fame. In August 2018, the actor took to his Instagram account to share a photo of him with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The picture was a still from the National award-winning movie Choker Bali (2003).

Along with the photo, he also expressed gratitude to the director of the film Rituparno Ghosh. He thanked him for giving him his “first big break”. The actor also mentioned that people still remember him from the character he played in that film.  
 

Tota Roy Choudhury starred alongside Vidya Balan and Kajol

After Choker Bali, Tota went on to do several Bengali as well as Hindi movies. He also featured in an extended cameo role in the Tamil film Kaththi (2014). He has done notable work in the short film Ahalya, starring Radhika Apte. He made his Hindi film debut in the Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani 2 (2016). He played the role of the protagonist’s friend which got him noticed in the Hindi film industry.

He played a pivotal role in his second Hindi film, Indu Sarkar (2017). It was directed by Madhu Bhandarkar and also starred Kriti Kulhari and Neil Nitin Mukesh. He starred alongside Kajol, in his second Hindi film, Helicopter Eela (2018). He has finally come to the spotlight in Bollywood with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
