Shekhar Suman has joined the brigade of celebrities who have reacted to the controversy that erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia's lewd comments on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent. The YouTuber's comment on parental intercourse sparked nationwide outrage resulting in massive backlash on social media. The 62-year-old actor has condemned the remarks and called for a ban on the show and the artists.

What did Shekhar Suman say about India's Got Latent?

Shekhar Suman, in a conversation with Instant Bollywood, slammed the comments made by the Youtubers and called out the misuse of freedom of speech. He stressed that such people should be ousted from the country.

He shared, "Iss tarah ka zamana, jahan maa-baap ko lekar gandi baatein ki ja rahi hain, aise logon ko desh se nikal dena chahiye. Inhe wapas nahi laana chahiye—jo log roast ke naam par batameezi kar rahe hain aur YouTube par freedom of speech ke naam par ki, 'Humein bolne ki azadi hai.' Par iska matlab yeh nahi ki aap usse gaaliyon aur gandagi se bhar dein, jo sun kar aadmi beemar ho jaye, pura desh beemar ho jaye." He also added, “Main darkhwast karunga ki aise logon ka show hamesha ke liye band kar dena chahiye aur inhe kahin door, Rangoon bhej dena chahiye.”

Ranveer Allahbadia questioned by Maharastra cyber cell for over 5 hours 

On February 24, Maharashtra Cyber officials questioned YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani for around five hours in connection with India's Got Latent show controversy after they appeared before the agency to record their statements. In his statement, BeerBiceps who made incestuous and lewd remarks on the episode, admitted his mistake and took sole blame for causing the controversy. As per sources, Ranveer Allahbadia admitted his mistake in his statement to the investigating officer yesterday. The YouTuber mentioned that his attendance on the show was because of his friendship with Samay Raina. He straight up took the blame and said that it was his mistake to say the line which has caused controversy.

Ranveer also claimed that he did not charge money to go to the show. He told the police officials that the the YouTuber community is friends with each other which is why they make appearances on each other's shows as a favour and do not charge a fee for it.
