Singham Again Box Office Collection Day 1: Rohit Shetty's modern retelling of Ramayan seems to have impressed the audience at the box office. The film featuring Ajay Devgn , Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone , Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar is likely to trump Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in the Diwali clash. With both films releasing on November 1, a box office comparison between them is imperative.

It was in July 2023, the world became familiar with the term ‘Barbenheimer'. The portmanteau referred to the combination of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer which was released alongside Greta Gerwig's Barbie, giving rise to one of the biggest Hollywood box office clashes. This Diwali , Bollywood witnessed a similar confrontation. Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again hit the big screens with Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, giving rise to an imperative clash. However, the Rohit Shetty-directed cop drama has seemingly emerged as the winner of the clash.

Trade analyst Sumit Kadel took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share that Singham Again is likely to rake in over ₹38 crore. His post read, “#SinghamAgain opens with THUNDEROUS OCCUPANCY across India.  Headed towards ₹ 38-42 cr nett mark which is a HUGE figure in a clash with a big commercial film.” At the time of publishing, estimates by Sacnilk claimed that the film had minted ₹ 34.59 Cr at the domestic box office. The coming days, however, remain crucial to assess which movie will emerge as the all-time highest-grosser.

Singham Again presents contemporary Ramayana perfect for Diwali watch

The third instalment from the Singham franchise has a motley of stars. It has Ajay as Bajirao Singham, Ranveer Singh as Simmba, Akshay Kumar as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, Kareena Kapoor as Bajirao Singham’s wife Avni, Deepika Padukone as police officer Shakti Shetty, Ravi Kishan, Jackie Shroff and Tiger Shroff.

Arjun will be seen playing the role of the antagonist named Danger Lanka. The film will have a contemporary spin on the Ramayana and released on Diwali on November 1.
