Stree 2 Box Office Day 7 (Including Previews): Film Bags 5th Spot In List Of Top Week 1 Grossers

Stree 2 Box Office: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer horror-comedy has made the most of its run during the extended holiday period, coinciding with Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan. The film has been lapped up by the audiences in mass circuits and multiplexes in tier 1 and tier 2 cities. Making the most of its positive word-of-mouth and strategic release, Stree 2 has comfortably neared ₹270 crore mark in seven days of its release (including previews).

Sharing the box office figures of Stree 2, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "The horror-comedy shows no signs of slowing down and is on track to hit ₹300 crore mark by the end of its extended Week 1."

He added, "With #Janmashtami holiday on Mon, #Stree2 is expected to deliver massive numbers in Weekend 2 as well... #Stree2 is a ONE-HORSE RACE at the #Boxoffice (sic)."

Box office analysis: Stree 2 vs rest

According to a report in Box Office India, Stree 2 recorded the seventh highest first Tuesday collection of all time. The highest collection ever is Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues at ₹55 crore which came on Independence Day while Animal sits second with ₹33 crore (non-holiday).

With its solid collections, Stree 2 has entered the list of highest first-week Bollywood (Hindi) grossers of all time. It occupies the fifth spot after Pathaan, Jawan, Animal and Gadar 2 and has edged out KGF 2 from its fifth spot.
