Sunny Deol on Dharmendra's reaction to Gadar 2: Papa doesn't....

Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 made its theatrical debut earlier this month. The film got a successful opening at the box office.  It has already crossed the Rs 130 crore mark in India. At the success press conference of the movie, the actor opened up on his father Dharmendra’s reaction to Gadar 2.

What is Dharmendra’s reaction to Gadar 2? 

Talking about Dharmendra’s response to Gadar 2, Sunny said, “Papa ko kuch kehna nahi hota, who sirf ek jhappi dal denge aur hans denge, (Papa doesn’t say anything, he will always give me a hug and smile).” 

The Sholay actor soon expressed gratitude to the fans for Gadar 2’s success on his Instagram handle. He shared a photo with a flower bouquet and wrote, “Friends, love you all for your loving response Gadar 2. His blessings and your good wishes made it a blockbuster.”

What is  Gadar 2 about?

Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is set in Lahore against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The film is 17 years after the events of its prequel Gadar. Utkarsh Sharma reprises his role of Jeete, Tara and Sakina’s son.

With its impressive box office performance, Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 has made it to the list of highest first-weekend earners of all time. With a total collection of Rs 134.88 crore, the film comes in at the third spot after Pathaan and KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi). Gadar 2 has surpassed the likes of Baahubali: The Conclusion (Rs 127.28 crore), Brahmastra (Rs 120 crore), Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 114 crore) and Sanju (Rs 119 crore), which are all-time blockbusters.
