"Me and my dad were actually on a plane and he had an umbilical hernia that got strangulated. He had to be rushed to hospital and get the operation done. That night was very scary for me because I had never seen the strongest person in my life looking vulnerable and feeling," she said.

Tamannaah added that she took charge of the situation and ensured her father received the necessary medical care. However, she admitted that she did not properly process the emotional toll it took on her at the time.

Tamannaah Bhatia on the importance of processing grief

Tamannaah Bhatia revealed that not dealing with her emotions and returning to work immediately had negative consequences. She said that she experienced anxiety and even fell ill on the set. She said that it's important to address and process grief rather than suppressing it.

"But I think I made the mistake of not processing it and just going back to work. I even fell sick on the sets. The only thing that I learned from that experience is that fear and anxiety if not expressed, the repression of that can lead to it physically manifesting itself," she added.
