Kareena Kapoor's movie The Buckingham Murders has hit the theatres September 13. The movie which is helmed by Hansal Mehta revolves around a grieving British-Indian detective, who is assigned the case of a murdered child in Buckinghamshire. Now, the film is all set to premiere on OTT.

Announcing the OTT release date on Instagram, Netflix India wrote, “Here’s a tip-off: The Buckingham Murders is coming to Netflix on 8 November.” Fans took to comment section to express their excitement, finally they can watch the movie in comfort. One user wrote, “Brilliant film. Can’t wait for people to appreciate it more”. Another user wrote, “Oh, finally! I've been waiting for this movie to come to OTT!!! Netflix Queen @kareenakapoorkhan”. “I've been waiting for this!! Thank you”, wrote the third user.

All about The Buckingham Murders

The Buckingham Murders tells the story of a grieving cop loses her child to murder and moves to another town where she investigates the disappearance of a missing child. The film stars Kareena Kapoor, Keith Allen, Ranveer Brar, Prabhleen Sandhu and Sarah Jane Dias among others. The film had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival on 14 October 2023. It was theatrically released on September 13, 2024.

The film marked Kareena's first production venture; she produced it alongside Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. During one of the promotional events, Kareena said that her role has been inspired by Kate Winslet's character in the miniseries Mare of Easttown. The film is in Hindi and English with 80 per cent of the dialogues in English.
