Taapsee Pannu Blamed: The actress was present in Paris for the ongoing Olympics 2024. A sports enthusiast, Taapsee is often seen advocating for outdoor games and sports. The Olympics was especially key for her as her husband Mathias Boe was a part of the Indian contingent as the Badminton Coach. However, following the dismissal of star players Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, the actress faced blame and trolls on social media.

Taapsee Pannu faces netizens' wrath 

Taapsee Pannu has been sharing regular updates from her time in Paris. A few days back, the actress took to her Instagram account to share a video of herself with the Indian flag from the stands. Soon, netizens took to the comment section to troll her for the same. While some blamed her for obstructing the view, others labelled her 'panauti' as India lost the match.

A comment on the post read, "Panauti... Iske wajah se Chiraj swastik bahar ho gaye" Another wrote, "Isiliye yeh haal tha… bad selection hain coach ka" A user went to the extent to write, "Don't let her in next time".

A group of people also called her out for blocking the view of those seated behind her. A user wrote, "Blocking everyone's view. No manners or decency even after going out of India." Another comment read, "Hope she realises what she is doin is obstructing d view of behind her!" Another echoed the sentiment and mentioned, "Please sit, let the audience behind you watch."
 

Taapsee Pannu's fans defend her 

This is not the first time an actress or spouse of a sportsperson is blamed for the team's performance. Previosuly, actresses like Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty have been on the receiving end of the massive backlash when their husbands and cricketers Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, respectively, failed to perform as expected.

Recalling the same, some well wishers and fans of Taapsee took to the comment section to defend her. A comment read, "Virat Kohli's words: Indians love to blame women for everything." Another wrote, "I guess men now have a problem with a woman supporting their husband too, phir yeh log aake bolenge ladkiyan support hi nehi karti hai and stuff." Another comment read, "The hatred against Indians by Indians in the comment section is real." Taapsee is yet to comment on the matter.
