Urvashi Rautela stars in the recently released film Bro The Avtar along with Telugu superstar and politician Pawan Kalyan. A day before the premiere of the film, the actress took to her Twitter to share her excitement of the same. However, the post has come under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

On July 27, a day before the release of Bro The Avtar, Urvashi Rautela made a tweet talking about the film. She shared a picture of herself posing with Pawan Kalyan and mistakenly referred to him as the “Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh”. The post naturally attracted severe backlash from social media users who have been correcting the actress ever since the tweet was posted.

In their comments, netizens have been schooling Rautela that while Kalyan is a politician, he is certainly not the chief minister since the office is currently being held by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It needs to be noted, however, that even after 17 hours (at the time of writing), the actress has neither retracted the tweet nor has she apologised for her error.

Urvashi Rautela's welcome to Kalyan on Instagram 

To recall, Pawan Kalyan made his debut on the social media platform Instagram recently. On July 8, Urvashi Rautela shared a selfie with the actor to welcome him on the app. She mentioned that she is “euphoric” to be his “apsara”, referring to her character in the film.

Notably, Bro The Avtar marks the first-ever collaboration between Pawan Kalyan and his nephew Sai Dharam Tej. The movie has released worldwide today (July 28).
