Vedaa Success Bash: John Abraham, Sharvari and Abhishek Banerjee came together for an intimate dinner to celebrate box office feat of their film.
Vedaa Success Bash: On August 17, two days after the release of the film, John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh and Abhishek Banerjee came together to celebrate the decent box office performance of their film. The action drama hit the big screen on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day, alongside other biggies like Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein. While the film has not been able to surpass the collections of Shraddha Kapoor's starter, it has outperformed Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein at the box office.
Inside Vedaa success bash
The cast of Vedaa along with the director Nikkhil Advani was spotted at a fancy restaurant in Mumbai on August 17. The group came together for an intimate dinner to celebrate the success of their movie. For the night out, John Abraham donned a black skirt paired with a blue denim. Sharvari rund heads in a black-on-black skirt with crop top which she teamed with a blazer. Abhishek Banerjee, who also appears in Stree 2, also attended the bash.
The actors were posed for the paparazzi at the bash. A viral video from the night out shows Sharvari cutting a cake in celebration. John, on the other hand, posed with young children who were his fans.
Vedaa deters competition from Khel Khel Mein but fails to put a strong foot against Stree 2
The three-way clash between Vedaa, Khel Khel Mein and Stree 2 turned out best for the Shraddha Kapoor starter. While the horror comedy has raked in more than Rs 100 crore in just three days of theatrical release Vedaa was able to collect a decent Rs 10 crore. The movie opened to Rs 6.3 crore on August 15 followed by Rs 1.8 crore on Friday. On the first Saturday of release, the movie raked in Rs 2.40 crore, as per Sacnilk. This takes the film's total to Rs 10.50 crore.
The Akshay Kumar-led ensemble starrer Khel Khel Mein opened at Rs 5.05 crore. The following day, the business registered a dip and the movie minted Rs 2.05 crore. On the first Saturday, the movie collected Rs 2.85 crore taking the film's total to Rs 9.95 crore.
