Zeenat Aman, Shabana Azmi reunite after 4 decades for Manish Malhotra backed Bun Tikki

Zeenat Aman is all set to make her acting comeback in Bollywood after a four-year gap. The veteran actress will reunite with her Ashanti co-star Shabana Azmi after over 4 decades for designer Manish Malhotra's upcoming film. The ace fashion designer has ventured into film production with Stage 5 Productions.

Zeenat Aman-Shabana Azmi to start filming in November

Manish Malhotra, on Saturday, took to his Instagram handle to announce his new production film Bun Tikki. He shared a teaser poster of the film featuring a handmade painting of a man playing with his young kid. Seeing the image, it seems they are father and son and the film revolves around their relationship.

In the background, we can see lush green trees and a rainbow with the film's title written on top. Apart from Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi, the film also star Abhay Deol. It will be helmed by Faraz Arif Ansari and produced by Jyoti Deshpande alongside Dinesh Malhotra and Marijke Desouza under the banner of Stage 5 Productions.

Sharing the post, he wrote, "The hard work of 3:5 years of #stage5production has also lead to curating and nurturing #BunTikki a special and sensitive film starting shooting November 2023 with Abhay Deol, Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi."

How did Abhay Deol and Faraz Arif Ansari react?

Soon after Manish Malhotra announced his film on social media, the comments section was flooded with congratulatory messages. Director Faraz expressed his excitement and wrote, "MM, thank you for being the SUPERSTAR PRODUCER! In 2021, I asked for a superstar for #BunTikki. In 2023, the universe has blessed me with four of them — @abhaydeol @thezeenataman @azmishabana18 & you! THANK YOU for nurturing me and being the BEST MENTOR ever!!!" 

Abhay wrote, "I’m so excited! More power to you Manish Malhotra." The makers are yet to announce the release date of Bun Tikki.
