AR Rahman's Son AR Ameen Meets With A Car Accident In Chennai, Suffers Minor Injuries

AR Rahman's son Ameen met with a car accident near Olympia Tech Park in Chennai in the early hours of Monday, as per news agency IANS. Ameen's car collided with a cab around 3:30 AM when he was travelling towards Guindy along Jawaharlal Nehru Road, as per police. He was accompanied by a friend in the car.

However, Ameen and his friend escaped with minor injuries. They were taken to a private hospital, where they received treatment and were discharged after a thorough examination.

AR Rahman or Ameen has yet to share a statement regarding the accident.

Who is AR Ameen?

He is the youngest child of AR Rahman and Saira Banu. He followed the footsteps of his father and began his singing career with the film O Kadhal Kanmani. He has worked across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi cinemas. He has sung for movies such as Ok Jaanu, Atrangi Re, Thug Life, Idli Kadai and Ram Charan's recently released Peddi.

Apart from movies, he has also collaborated with singer Jasleen Royal on the independent single, Bheegi Bheegi, featuring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur.

AR Rahman, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of magnum opus Ramyana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash. In the film, Rahman serves as music composer and is already receiving praise for the background music in the trailer. The film is slated to release in India on November 8, on the occasion of Diwali, whereas overseas it will release on November 6.
