Big Comment/ Dharmendra compares his RARKPK kissing scene with grandson Rajveer Deol’s liplock in Dono

Dharmendra’s latest outing Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani did really well at the box office in India and abroad. However, what became a talking point in the rom-com was a kiss scene between Dharmendra and his love interest in the film Shabana Azmi. During a recent media interaction, the veteran star addressed the talked-about kissing scene in RARKPK. In his comment, Dharmendra compared the scene with his grandson Rajveer Deol’s debut movie Dono. 

Dharmendra says ‘mere kiss ka shor hogaya’ 

Dharmendra attended the Durga Puja pandal hosted by Kumar Sanu on October 17. The 87-year-old actor talked about his viral kissing scene there. Talking to the media personnel, he commented that he only picks roles that he thinks will connect with the audience. He said, “Films are our medium to connect with the audience. I choose roles that resonate with my heart when they come my way.” 

He compared his kissing scene with his grandson Rajveer Deol. The younger son of Sunny Deol recently made his debut in Dono, opposite Paloma Dhillon. He said, “I don’t know how many kisses my grandson did in his film, mere ek kiss ka shor hogaeya (my one kiss created so much noise).” Following the release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, both Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi’s performances were lauded for showcasing love that is not bound by age. 

Dharmendra says he does not like to celebrate his birthday 

At the same event, the veteran actor also talked about the recent birthday bash hosted in honour of his wife Hema Malini. The actor expressed gratitude to all the loved ones who wished the Dream Girl on her 75th birthday. He said, “It’s a big thing for us that we got so much love and blessings from everyone. It was a happy occasion.”

Hema Malini celebrated her 75th birthday on October 16. Several members of the film fraternity like Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Jackie Shroff, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha and Anupam Kher attended the bash. Dharmendra further shared that he does not celebrate his birthday, so people coming together for Hema Malini’s big day was a special thing for him. “I don’t celebrate my birthday. I sometimes wish I would not remember the date of my birthday,” the Sholay star said.
