Heavily Pregnant Deepika Padukone Snapped In Mumbai With Bodyguards Weeks Before Due Date

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to embrace parenthood in September. The couple shared the announcement on social media in February. On Sunday, the Bajirao Mastani actress was snapped in Mumbai with her security guards as she stepped out weeks before her due date. It seemed like the paparazzi caught her unaware as she made her way to her car from a venue.

Deepika Padukone was snapped on Sunday evening, accompanied by her personal bodyguards, who guarded her amid her pregnancy. The 83 star looked pretty in a beige kurta and palazzo. It was the first time since Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding in July that the actress was snapped in the city. She is currently in her last trimester, with her due date fast approaching.

Kalki 2898 AD done, what's next for Deepika?

Deepika was recently seen in Kalki 2898 AD, alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The pan-India film turned out to be a massive hit, earning over ₹1100 crore at the worldwide box office. Its OTT release lined is up for August 22 on multiple platforms. Touted as a marriage of Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction, the big-budget film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and was released in theatres across the country on June 27.

Reportedly, after the birth of her baby, Deepika will revive her old project The Intern, which was announced during Covid-19 pandemic. The film has been on the back burner for a few years. It could be the first film she begins shooting for after her delivery. The Intern is the remake of the Hollywood film of the same name, starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro. The Hindi version will feature Deepika alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
