Samay Raina has been going through a rough phase since the comedian was embroiled in legal proceedings owing to India's Got Latent Controversy, forcing him to delete all episodes of his comedy show from YouTube. It all happened when Ranveer Allahbadia, who appeared as one of the guests, asked a lewd question, leading to backlash and boycott uproar. Since then, Samay has kept a low profile and has also privatised his YouTube channel to only subscribed members. Now, YouTuber Shwetabh Gangwar, in a now-deleted video, shared that he spoke to Samay and realised that the comedian is "scared and depressed".

Is Samay Raina 'broken' after deleting his India's Got Latent videos?

YouTuber Shwetabh claimed in a now-deleted video, per Free Press Journal, that amid India's Got Latent controversy he called Samay and he sounded quite low. "Bhaisahab, toota hua hai vo insaan (He is a broken man). When the controversy first erupted, I could still see the old Samay in him, but when I spoke to him last time, I saw a broken man... depressed, sad, scared," he continued. He added that Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija are also going through difficult times amid the controversy.

SC pulls up Samay Raina for 'making fun' of an obscenity case against him in Canada

Justice Surya Kant observed that comedian Samay Raina, who is embroiled in India's Got Latent row, made remarks about the case in Canada during his tour. He said, "One of them went to Canada and spoke about all of this. These young and over-smart ones think they know more. Possibly, they do not know the jurisdiction which this court enjoys" Justice Kant observed. "Yes, he went abroad and made fun of this proceeding," SG Tushar Mehta noted.

“These youngsters may think that we are outdated but we know how to deal with them. Don’t take the court lightly,” the judge cautioned. The bench subsequently restrained Ranveer Allahbadia from speaking anything related to the case on his show.

Supreme Cout lifts ban on Ranveer Allahbadia's show amid row over filthy remarks, asks him to maintain decency

The Supreme Court, on Monday, lifted a ban on YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's show amid the ongoing India's Got Talent controversy, urging him to maintain "decency" on his podcast. The court requested Ranveer to submit an affidavit to ensure that no objectionable content would be present in his episodes.

"He is saying there are multiple employees, so there are families whose livelihood is in question. Subject to maintaining morality and decency, if he wants to run a program, we can say he can," said the Supreme Court.

"We have some excellent comedians in Bollywood and good writers in terms of writing humour. Its element of creativity," the bench added.

Meanwhile, Over 50 people have recorded their statements in the controversy. Poonam Pandey and Koustabh Agarwal, both judges of different episodes of Samay's YouTube show were questioned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, recently.
