Selena Gomez targeted for new romance with Benny Blanco and it involves her ex Justin Bieber

Singer-actress Selena Gomez has confirmed her romance with music producer Benny Blanco. Instagram account PopFactions posted a picture headlined “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is in a Relationship", in which she commented "facts". While Selena has come out publicly saying Blanco is "better than anyone she's ever been with,” a section of social media users are targeting her for her new romance.

Why are netizens targeting Selena-Benny's relationship?

According to reports, Selena and Benny have bad blood. The latter seemingly shaded the We Don't Talk Anymore singer in an interview in 2020. At the time, Senny was close to Selena's ex Justin Bieber. During an interview on the Zach Sang Show when asked about working with Justin, Benny praised him for not being “one of those cookie-cutter pop artists” who announce their new music alongside their other business ventures like a “makeup line”. This comment came on the heels of Selena launching her cosmetics line Rare Beauty in 2020. A year prior, in 2019, Selena and Benny worked together on the song I Can’t Get Enough.

As Selena confirmed her relationship with Benny, some fans thought the news was a "marketing plan". Earlier, Selena hinted at having a crush on someone when filming her Selena + Chefs holiday special.

Selena dated Justin for eight years in an on-and-off relationship before finally parting ways in 2018. Justin worked with Benny in 2021 and they have performed together on stage.
