Bhola Shankar struggles at box office
Bhola Shankar struggled to draw audiences since its release on August 11. The initial weekend turned out to be dismal as the film managed to earn Rs 26.4 crore. The film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 101 crore.
Despite its struggles, Bhola Shankar opened with a relatively strong start, garnering Rs 16.25 crore domestically on its opening day. However, the film's fortunes took a downturn on the second day, as its box office collections plummeted to Rs 5.05 crore. The film's hopes for recovery on Sunday were also dashed, with a modest collection of Rs 5.1 crore. The cumulative global earnings, as per the film's makers, stood at Rs 33 crore.
Despite its failure, Bhola Shankar is scheduled for a Hindi release on August 25, 2023. The film's journey in North Indian states will be closely observed to gauge its reception among a wider audience.
